It's the last Saturday of the college basketball regular season and we've got predictions for the biggest games
The final Saturday of college basketball's regular season is highlighted until 6 p.m. ET Showdown No. 4 between Duke and North Carolina. It marks legendary Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski's last game on the bench after 42 seasons leading the program, and has major implications for both teams. The Blue Devils may need a win to clinch the outright ACC title, and the Tar Heels are looking for a win to increase their NCAA Tournament chances.
While the Tobacco Road rivalry will take up a lot of oxygen within the game, it is one of several major games on the slate that loaded in the first weekend of March. Among the other big showings are a pair of SEC clashes on CBS, beginning with the afternoon fling between No. 25 Alabama and LSU and continuing until 2 p.m. Number 7 Game between Kentucky and Florida.
If the Wildcats win, they could be in a position to win a portion of the SEC title based on Auburn's fare against South Carolina. Similarly, the Big 12 will have league title implications as No. 6 Kansas hosts No. 21 Texas and No. 3 Baylor hosts Iowa State. As the postseason looms - in fact it has already started in many conferences - the intensity usually increases in college basketball, and it should be on display on Saturday.
