The annual Asbury Park St. Patrick's Day will take place on March 13. Here's everything you need to know.
ASBURY PARK, NJ - Jersey Shore residents, get your green hats on.
The annual Asbury Park St. Patrick's Day will begin at 1 p.m. on March 13 at the Convention Hall (7th Avenue and Ocean Avenue).
According to the Asbury Park Police Department, the parade will proceed south on Ocean Avenue up Cookman, ending at the Johnny Mack House of Spirits.
Lake Avenue from Main Street East to Wesley Lake Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic from the afternoon of March 13. Local traffic can enter and exit Lake Avenue on Main Street.
"This Lake Avenue corridor will be used for emergency vehicles to access and exit the parade route," police said.
The 800 block of Bangs Avenue (Memorial Drive to Main Street) will be closed to all traffic in the afternoon.
Police said that Ocean Avenue from 7th Avenue to 5th Avenue will be closed at 10 am.
Main Street between Lake Avenue and Summerfield Avenue will be closed at 1 p.m. Bond Street behind Dunkin' Donuts will be closed at noon from Main Street to Lake Avenue.
Parking information
- Press Plaza: No Parking from 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Cookman Avenue: No parking from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the entire length of Cookman Avenue from Main Street to Kingsley Street)
- Ocean Avenue from 7th Avenue South to Asbury Avenue: No parking from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Municipal lot: No parking from 9 am to 5 pm. and Seventh Avenue: No parking from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Between Kingsley St and Ocean Ave.
"Vehicles parked inside the parade route will be taken at the expense of the owner," police said.
There will be an after-party parade with Bobby Bandiera and Friends at the Wonder Bar.
