'Addams Family' to be presented on March 10, 11 and 12

Penn Manor Productions will present The Addams Family, the school version of the musical, at Penn Manor High School on March 10, 11 and 12.

The musical is the first to be performed live at the high school's new Rank Auditorium. It also marks the 50th anniversary of the musical at Penn Manor High School, which presented its first musicals in 1972, the same year the school's thespian troupe was chartered.

Here's a list of all the music I've done over the years.

Addams Family showtimes are at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday 10 March; 7:30 pm. on Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12; and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12.

Reserved seat tickets at this link are available for $7 for students and $9 for adults.

Thursday's show will be free for all senior citizens who show their Comet Classic card at the box office on the night of the show. No free reserved seat ticket is available. Learn more about the Comet Classic program here.

A comical feast embracing the wackiness in every family, The Addams Family, the school version has an origin story that is every father's nightmare. Wednesday Adams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and falls in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents never met.

And if that wasn't bothering enough, Wednesday obeyed his father and begged him not to tell his mother. Now, Gomez Adams must do something she's never done before - keep a secret from her beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything will change for the whole family the night they host a Wednesday dinner for the "normal" boyfriend and his parents.

The cast includes Caleb Kabakjian as Gomez, Grace Pfeiffel as Morticia, Colin Rost as Uncle Fester, Elizabeth Lebow as Wednesday, Ava Wolfersberger as Pugsley Adams, Amber Floyd as Grandma Adams, and Maximilian as Lurch. Includes Ponton.

The show marks the directorial debut of Penn Manor choral director Lauren Simiewicz.

Best wishes to everyone involved in this upcoming show!
