There is optimism that Miami Heat guard Victor Oladipo could start his season within the next two weeks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.
Sources said Oladipo, who is ramping up after off-season quad tendon surgery, joined the Heat on their current six-game road trip and could be ready to play in the second week of March.
Oladipo, who first had quad tendon surgery in January 2019, arrived in Miami in March 2021 in a trade-deadline deal with the Houston Rockets and played four games before resurfacing the quad in April. He has been recovering from the injury since his second surgery on May 13.
Oladipo agreed to stay with the Heat on a one-year minimum deal in August.
For his nine-year career, including stops with the Orlando Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers, he has averaged 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
