Valimai earned Rs. 15.25 crore approx, for the three day total Rs. 62.50 crores at the Indian box office. The film's collections will see a further jump, and will likely take the extended weekend of four days to Rs. 79-80 crore approx.
Ajith Kumar starrer action thriller, Tamil Nadu jumped nearly 25 per cent on Saturday to earn Rs. 12.25-12.75 crore approx. A total of three days in the state Rs. 50.50 crores and approx Rs. 65 crores till the end of the day today. The number of days three is the highest and the first Rs. More than 50 crores for Ajith. His previous bests were all in Rs. 30-31 crores range for Vedalam, Vivegam and Viswasam. There was a drop in collections on Friday in the state, though still a decent number and not much higher than usual for a mid-week release, but still a bit worrying. The boom on Saturday and the strong opening of the morning show on Sunday give the film the trend it needed. If on Sunday approximately Rs. 15 crores This will give a good base to sustain the film on weekdays.

The film also jumped outside Tamil Nadu, with a jump of over 50 per cent in Karnataka, taking its total to Rs. 4.10 crores in three days. Even in AP/TS, the film got more breathing space on Saturday and took a good jump at various centres. Three-day shares of around Rs. Around 1.50 crores, and could see recovery if it continues in the coming days.
With an extended weekend of around $4 million (Rs 30 crore), the film is doing well overseas.
