Cameron Nori vs Stefanos Tsitsipas Recap
Both the players started the match on a strong note, comfortably stopping their serve for the first eight games.
Norrie finally managed to get a service break in the ninth game of the set. He immediately dismissed the opener with a 40-0 service hold. Tsitsipas did not play very poorly, but at times fell a step behind his opponent.
The second set mirrored the first, with both defending their serve with ease in the first five games. Tsitsipas had a break point in the sixth game of the set, his first, but Nori played some smart tennis to hold on to 3-3.
After another service hold, Nori took the lead in the ninth game of the set. He took full advantage of a poor service game from the Greek to take a 5-4 lead.
Nori had no problem closing the match. It was only their fourth win over a Top 10 opponent in 24 matches.
The southpaw has done well enough to turn their season around. He started the year with a 0–4 record, ending his campaign in Australia without a win. World No 12 then made it to the quarterfinals in Rotterdam and later won the title at Delray Beach.
Nori will face his biggest challenge to date in the final at Abierto Mexicano Telcel, as he will take on either Rafael Nadal or Daniil Medvedev. Both the players are in excellent form at the moment and if they want to win against either of them then their work is over for Britain.
