The Mississippi State men's basketball team traveled to Roop Arena to face the Kentucky Wildcats in another Southeast Conference matchup Tuesday night.
The Wildcats defeated the Bulldogs 82-74 in overtime.
Mississippi State fell 13–6 on aggregate and lost 4–3 in the SEC.
Ranked 13th in the USA Today Coach Poll, Kentucky improved to 16-4 and 6-2 in the SEC game with the win.

Kentucky took an 80–74 lead against Mississippi State in overtime behind two 3-pointers from Kellan Grady on back-to-back assets. The Bulldogs took a timeout after the second basket.

Cut to Kentucky's lead late in the second half, Mississippi State's Xavian Davis found Iverson Moliner heading for the basket and passed the ball to guard via a bounce pass. Moliner ended the play-off by banking on a lap.
