Moonskin has been getting a lot of buzz in the rock world in recent months! Although the band hails from Italy, Americans can't get enough of their successful singles "I Wanna Be Your Slave" and "Zitti a Buoni". He won The X Factor
The group – composed of Ethan Torchio, 21, Victoria De Angelis, 21, Damiano David, 23, and Thomas Raggi, 21 – originally appeared after competing on the Italian version of The X Factor. The quartet initially came together in 2016 while attending high school in Rome. After several attempts at music competitions including local music competition Pulse, he tried his shot at the 11th season of The X Factor Italy in 2017. His name is Danish
Although the group is Italian, the name menskin is Danish. In English, the word translates to "moonlight". Ethan, Victoria, Damiano and Thomas eventually had to choose a name when they were nominating for the local music competition Pulse. Victoria in particular is half Danish, and the group thought the Danish word might work, helping to come up with the name after her.
They've Been in Other American Shows
SNL is certainly going to be a milestone for Ethan, Victoria, Damiano and Thomas — but it also isn't their first for the rodeo. Menskin has also performed on major shows such as The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen DeGeneres Show following the success of the singles "I Wanna Be Your Slave" and "Zitty a Boonie".
They have received a lot of praise
After winning at the annual Festival di Sanremo, Menshkin earned the right to fly the Italian flag in Rotterdam, where he is representing Italy at Eurovision 2021. Representatives from different countries of Europe are competing in the famous international songwriting competition. Italy last won Eurovision in 1990.
He has a singular fashion style
Menskin is known for its whimsical, '70s-inspired fashion inspired by rock legends David Bowie and Iggy Pop. They often performed in platform heels, metallic jumpsuits and wore heavy black liner – just like what the famous nightclub attendees wore at Studio 54 in its heyday.
