Before Shraddha Kapoor ventured into Bollywood, the actor had shared how she was amazed when she was offered an erotic thriller by a reputed filmmaker.
Shraddha Kapoor is celebrating her 35th birthday on Thursday. The actor has come a long way since he rose to fame with Aashiqui 2 and has since featured in films like Stree, Chhichhore and Saaho. Despite being the daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor and niece of actor Padmini Kolhapure, Shraddha had her hits and misses and was offered several worthless projects before the good ones arrived.
Shraddha made her film debut with Teen Patti, which starred big names like Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley. However, due to its box office failure, Shraddha lost another film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production My Friend Pinto. Also, they were being offered projects that were difficult for them to accept.
Shraddha had told Filmfare in an interview how she was offered many useless films in search of a good project. Sharing her reaction on being offered an erotic thriller by a renowned filmmaker, Shraddha had said, "I didn't know how to turn him down and rather told him, 'I am not going into that zone right now'. "
Sharing about losing Bhansali's film, Shraddha said in the same interview, "Before Teen Patti released, I had auditioned for a really important film. I was dying to get it. I spent days- Worked the night and gave my all to the audition. But I didn't participate. When I got a call (about being replaced), I went to my mom and told her what had happened. After that I told her that I should Leave it alone. I went to my room and cried non-stop on my bed for three days.
Shraddha was last seen in Tiger Shroff-starrer Baaghi 3. Now she will be seen in Luv Ranjan's next film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. It will hit the theaters around Holi on March 8 next year.
