In Afghanistan, we take stock of achievements towards gender equality and women's empowerment over the past two decades, reflect on the challenges ahead and express our solidarity with the people in Afghanistan for their fundamental rights. Over the past 20 years, progress has been made towards women's empowerment in Afghanistan and we must work in solidarity to continue this development. These benefits should not be lost.
On International Women's Day, UNESCO reiterates that gender equality and women's empowerment cannot be achieved only by advocating for equal access to rights. Through its education, culture and communication and information (CI) programs, UNESCO in Afghanistan is committed to contributing to the creation of future generations of leaders (both men and women) for gender equality and women's empowerment in Afghanistan and for women and girls. Committed to. Their due role in the development of their country and communities.
