Paul Heyman: Three-Year-Old Roman Reigns Had More Charisma Than A Room Full Of Future Hall Of Famers

Paul Heyman knew from the beginning that Roman Reigns was special.

So far, the "tribe chief" and his special counsel have been tied together for the better part of two years; Ever since he joined forces in 2020, he has been unstoppable apart from a brief separation in late 2021 and early this year. After a temporary reunion with Brock Lesnar, the former "Advocate" switches sides and is reunited with Reigns because he believes in "The Head of the Table".

This confidence dates back somewhat to more than three decades, the first time Heyman met a three-year-old boy who would become Reigns. During an appearance on the Battlegrounds podcast, the former ECW boss recalled meeting Reigns several years ago at a Continental Wrestling Federation show. The king's father, Sika Anoi of Wild Samoa, brought him to the event, and Heyman knew immediately that the boy was special because he had unmatched charisma.

"Sika brought her three-year-old son, now known as Roman Reigns, to the show," Heyman said. "And he introduced me to his son, and what stood out to me about his son was that in a locker room full of future WWE Hall of Famers, future WWE Champions, future WWE Main-Eventers, Like I'll throw a name you, Sid, Sid Justice/Sid Vicious, were in that locker room. A locker room full of people like Yokozuna, Roman Reigns, more charisma at three years old than everyone in that locker room Was.

“All the oxygen in the room went straight to him. He's three years old, he's holding his father's hand, and yet when he just made a move like he's got something to eat or whatever, everyone in the room turned their heads and looked at him. It was the worst thing. He had a charisma on three that was undeniable. ,

To elaborate, Heyman said that when he was three years old, Rains still had the "it" factor; His confidence and swagger stood above the rest even in a room full of famous wrestlers.

"You knew this three-year-old was going to be a star," Heyman said. "He just had it. He had the 'it' factor. At age three, when he walked back to his father's locker room, he was hooked on the move. Believe him, three years old." Gone was that 30-year-old men didn't have the same swagger in their physical prime."

The Special Counsel then explained how the Rains are living out their fate, as they were born to be "tribal chiefs".

Heyman said, "Samoan sent the prodigal son into the world." "I mean, Roman Reigns was born to be 'The Tribal Chief.' That's where he was destined to be from day one."

Through his role with Reigns, Heyman has helped Powerhouse grow into one of the top stars in the wrestling world. He will return to the ring with "The Head of the Table" for the Winner Take All Championship Unification match against WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38.
