After scoring a combined 100 points in back-to-back G League games, guard Nick Stauskas has agreed to a two-year contract with the Boston Celtics, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Schiffman told ESPN Thursday night. .
Stauskas, who has 57 and 43 points in consecutive games for Grand Rapids Gold, joins the Celtics on a deal that covers the rest of this season and the 2022-23 season.
The Celtics (38–27) are an emerging team, moving east into fifth place—only 4.5 games behind the Miami Heat from first place.
Stoskas, the eighth overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, has also made stops with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami. Stauskas, 28, signed a 10-day contract with the Heat this season before returning to Grand Rapids.
