The first day of a public workout for the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine gets underway on Thursday inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
The evening was of quarterbacks, tight ends and wide receivers, displaying a surplus of talent for the Raiders to take a look at the draft around the corner in April.
Here are some quick overviews of who stood out from each of the three status groups.

Calvin Austin III Show
Calvin Austin III is living proof of how deep the wide receiver group is in this draft class.
The Memphis Tigers were rated the 18th best receiver to come to the Combine by Pro Football Focus, and Thursday was arguably the best day for a wide. The 5-foot-8 player jumped 39.00" vertical, jumped 11-foot-3 wide and topped with a 4.32 40-yard dash.
Considering the All-AAC receiver and return specialist also graced the track in Memphis, his 40 times should come as no surprise. He had back-to-back 1,000 receiving yard seasons in his junior and senior years, with a total of 29 touchdowns in that period.

Like Isaiah (song)
It's a shame Isaiah didn't score 40, but it looks like he didn't need to.
Coastal Carolina's sharply tight end showed everything he's got during practice. Possibly synonymous with the deep ball during his time in college, and used his speed and agility to show at the Combination.
Something else I noticed about Chance's workout was his hands. I can't remember that I saw the young man drop the ball. Probably the highest vertical jump between tight ends was also recorded at 36.00.
Though likely out of the bench press and 40-yard dash, he did enough to show why he's the top tight end in this draft. Hopefully, we'll get to see what time he looks at his pro day.

King's court
Of the quarterbacks I saw throw Thursday, D'Eric King out of Miami was the most pleasant surprise.
During practice with the tight end and wide receiver, King dropped some money—showing a graceful spiral you'd see from a quarterback.
Many analysts have expressed some concern about King, having thrown three touchdowns and four interceptions in his senior season before suffering a season-ending injury. However, it looked like he was one of the best quarterbacks in the country, bowling some pretty accurate deliveries at Lucas Oil Stadium.
It will be interesting to see how things go for King, as he has told teams that he is ready to switch positions for the wide receiver.
