Jim Boehm's wife Julie Boehm robbed at Syracuse mall at gunpoint: report

According to multiple reports, Julie Boehm, wife of Syracuse University men's basketball coach Jim Boehm, was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Destiny USA mall in Syracuse on Tuesday afternoon.

The police responded to the robbery at the mall at 2:08 pm. The victim, identified by Syracuse.com as Julie Boehm, was not injured.

Police said the victim was sitting inside her vehicle near the entrance of the mall when a youth approached her. The man started a conversation with the victim before pointing a gun at her. He reached her car and stole her purse.

The accused fled, got into a car along with two others and fled. The vehicle in which they were traveling is believed to be stolen.

Police are seeking the public's help and asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.

Julie and Jim Boehm married in 1997 and have three children. His two sons, Jimmy and Buddy, play on the Orange basketball team. His daughter, Jamie, is a senior at the University of Rochester.
