Fans of Salman, Sonakshi are confused as fake picture shows them as a married couple

Actors Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are seen as a married couple in a viral picture. Even after being termed as fake, this picture is spreading on social media.

On Tuesday, a picture of Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha posing as newlyweds surfaced online. It seemed that both the actors recently got married in a secret way. This picture was widely shared on social media with different claims from different accounts. Some claimed that the wedding took place in Dubai, while others said that it was a secret wedding in Mumbai. However, the picture is fake.

In the picture, Salman is seen putting a ring on Sonakshi's finger. Salman is seen wearing a beige jacket over a white shirt, while Sonakshi is dressed like a bride in a red sari with heavy jewelery and vermilion in her hair. However, a closer look reveals that the picture has been photoshopped.

Salman and Sonakshi are in fact currently in UAE where they are part of the Da-Bang Tour titled by Salman. Some accounts on social media tried to set the record straight by posting a fact check that the picture was fake and photoshopped. However, till Wednesday this picture kept going viral.

Sonakshi and Salman have worked together in the Dabangg film series. Sonakshi Sinha made her debut opposite Salman in the 2010 film Dabangg and also appeared in two of its sequels. She will next be seen in the horror-comedy Kakuda, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. Her another release this year will be Double XL, in which she will be sharing screen space with Huma Qureshi and Zaheer Iqbal.

Meanwhile, Salman is wrapping up the shooting of the third installment of his successful Tiger franchise. The film also stars Katrina Kaif. The actor has reportedly also made a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action film Pathan, which will release in January 2023. As per reports, Salman will be reprising his character from the Tiger film series in Pathan, paving the way for a shared universe between the films.
