ATLANTA (WJBF) — A slew of candidates are filing to qualify for the 2022 elections, including former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
While lawmakers propose bills inside the legislative chambers, rapturous discussions take place outside "electability" week on the Capitol floor under a gold dome.

State Senator Bob Hatchett (R-Northeast Georgia) said, "I think it's a statement for our democracy and the way the system works in the state, and how many people have come. We're excited."
Abrams is likely to face incumbent Governor Brian Kemp or former Senator David Perdue in November, and echoed a similar message to his 2018 campaign about expanding Medicaid.
