After Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar and Vikrant Massey-Sheetal Thakur, Shahid Kapoor's half-sister Sana Kapoor is all set to tie the knot with actors Manoj and Seema Pahwa's son Mayank. The bride and groom along with their respective family members have reportedly reached Mahabaleshwar, where the wedding will take place on Wednesday, March 2.
Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur also recently confirmed his daughter's wedding announcement to Bombay Times. "I don't want to talk much about it, but yes it is my daughter's wedding and that's about it," the actor told the publication. The publication said that the conversation took place between Tej Sangeet, which had the song Sweti Tera Drama. The film Bareilly Ki Barfi was heard in the background. News of Sana and Mayank's marriage started pouring in from Tuesday evening.
According to media reports, Sanah and Mayank have known each other for a long time and they got engaged some time back. Glimpses of their pre-wedding celebrations are going viral on the internet. Actor Vivaan Shah, son of Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, shared several videos from his sangeet night on his Instagram stories. In the video, the couple was welcomed into the ceremony with a traditional dhol-tasha, while the women of the family were seen singing traditional songs.
The bride's mother, actress Supriya Pathak was seen dancing with her sister, actress Ratna Pathak Shah. Later he too was joined by the bride to be. Pankaj Kapur can be seen sitting in front. Sana is the daughter of Supriya Pathak and Pankaj Kapur and half-sister of Shahid Kapoor. She made her big screen debut in 2015 with Vikas Bahl's Shaandaar, which also starred Pankaj Kapur, Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
