According to Mike Garafolo of NFL.com, the Detroit Lions are keeping their backup quarterback in-house.
The Lions have reportedly agreed to bring Tim Boyle back on a one-year, $2 million deal with $1.75 million guaranteed. There is also an additional $500,000 that can be obtained through incentives.

Boyle also signed a one-year contract with Detroit last season. After which, he appeared in five games for Dan Campbell's Lions, including three starts in place of Jared Goff.
In those games, the Connecticut-born QB completed 65 percent of his passes for 526 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions. Season finale with 63.5 passer rating.
Boyle spent the first three seasons of his career supporting Aaron Rodgers at Green Bay, following his exit from Yukon. The 27-year-old saw the snap in 11 games in that period.
Would the Lions consider moving Jared Goff?@ChrisBurkeNFL heard the question come up multiple times at the combine.

"The NFL offseason is set up for a wild quarterback carousel, in some shape or form."https://t.co/wBQZg8t7oO
As it stands, Goff remains QB1 for the Lions going into the 2022 season. But with a high pick in the draft, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Detroit quarterback chooses to grab.
However, it is more likely that Campbell and the Lions draft a pass rusher, or trade off the pick entirely for more bites on the apple.
