What a birthday! Baby girl born on 2/22/2022 at 2:22 a.m. in North Carolina

The date and time isn't the only thing that made baby Judah Grace's arrival so special! Her mommy, Aberli, is a cancer survivor.

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. - When a new baby enters the world, the time and date are always marked with celebration.

It will always be easy for the Spears family to remember how their new baby came about!

Baby Judah Grace was born on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 2:22 pm in Almans Regional - get this - in Labor and Delivery Room 2!

After 26 hours of labor, first-time parents Eberly and Hank Spear welcomed their baby girl into the world.

Eberly Spear said, "I heard all the nurses screaming in excitement and I was just like what's going on." "I looked at her and I liked what time she was born. She was like 2:22 and I'm like oh well!"

The couple said that their daughter's birthday is not just numerically special.

"Her name means 'praise'," said Eberly Spear. "Judah, that's why we chose that name because I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2014 and we were told we might not have children."

The couple said Eberly was diagnosed with cancer just three months after they met. The prospect of not having children was a fate husband Hank said he accepted.

"After all, every guy says they don't want kids, but they do, they do," said Hank Spear.

Weighing in at seven pounds and ten ounces, the couple said their bundle of joy and numbers 2-22 will always serve as a reminder to never lose hope, even when the odds are stacked against you.

"God's right time, he never makes a mistake," said Eberly Spear.

Grandma Christie Engelbrecht called WFMY News 2 shortly after baby Judah was born, excited to share the date and time of the special birthday!

Even the team "2" from Allamance Regional joined in the celebration, performing their 2. He also gave the child Judas a special hat with two bows.

Engelbrecht said that the birth of Judah was actually a miracle, which led to it. You see, Mom is an Eberly Hodgkins lymphoma survivor. She fought the disease for six years till 2020. Now, she is the mother of a precious baby girl.

Engelbrecht said, "Judas reminds of all good things, fulfills God's promises, and draws a community together for the good of one another."

Both mother and child are fine.
