The LSU Tigers travel to Lexington to play the No. 6 Kentucky Wildcats on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m.
This game is a rematch between the teams. LSU upset Kentucky on January 4, losing its first conference to the Wildcats. After that game both teams were tied 1–1 in SEC play. Since then, the teams have moved in opposite directions.
LSU Basketball
LSU's record this season is 19-8. However, the team leads 7-7 in conference play. The team's only non-conference loss came in the Big 12/SEC Challenge to TCU.
After starting the season with 12 consecutive wins, the team has faltered in SEC play. The Tigers lost their SEC opener to Auburn, who is now No. 3 in an AP poll. LSU returned after defeating Kentucky. Nevertheless, the Tigers have fallen into an alternating pattern of winning streaks and losing streaks.
The Tigers are currently ranked No. 6 on the SEC.

LSU is led by forward Tari Eason. Sophistication leads the team in scoring with 16.9 points per game. He has scored at least 21 points in his last four matches. In his last meeting against Kentucky, Eason accumulated 13 points and scored six rebounds.

Kentucky responded to an SEC-opening loss to LSU by winning its next four games. Unlike LSU, the Wildcats haven't lost consecutive games this season.
