A dramatic, last-gas goal from Fabian Ruiz gave Napoli a 2-1 win at Lazio on Sunday, a victory that propelled Luciano Spalletti's team to the top of Serie A.
Lazio dominated the first half for a long time and should have taken the lead early on but Luis Alberto pulled out of a good position.
Napoli improved after the break, with Lorenzo Insigne hitting the net in the 62nd minute to give his team the lead.
Insigne thought he had added a quick second goal after a VAR review saw his close-range finish being ruled out for offside. The blow looked like it would prove costly when Pedro equalized at home two minutes ahead of time.
The play did not end there, however, as a fine finish in four minutes of stoppage time from Ruiz snatched the win for Napoli, moving them above AC Milan, who are level on points but a worse one. Target difference. Lazio slipped to seventh place.
