To everyone who's been watching "Sister Wives" this season: I see you, I'm you, I'm ashamed of you, and I'm also excited for the third installment of the long entertaining tell-all interview to come.
In a recently released preview for Sunday's episode, via E! Online, host Sukanya Krishnan asked polygamist patriarch Cody Brown about his communication with wife Christine Brown, who announced in November that she was separating from her husband of 25 years.
Cody claims he was hearing from other family members that Christine was talking about separation and says that the gossip made her feel like she was "stabbing my back."
"Did he ever hear you say, 'I don't want you to leave'?" Krishnan asked him.
"No," he replies.
This innocence of Kodi should not shock the general audience. After all, this is the man who admits in the same interview that he was withholding sex because he thought it would "address the rumors I've been hearing from the kids" to his wife, possibly leaving him. Instead of, you know, asking about the chatter.
To capture the curious, the interviews come after a season that saw the Brown family - made up of the jumble of Cody, their four wives and children - navigating the coronavirus pandemic.
With four different families following their own rules and Cody failing to control the households and people to his satisfaction, tensions grew between family members, and especially the parents.
Christine and Cody's lack of intimacy and their differing feelings over pandemic safeguards have also been a point of contention for that couple during the current season.
"Sister Wives" airs on TLC. The first two installments of the tell-all special - filled with tears and humble vandalism - are available to watch on Discovery+, as are the current and previous seasons.
