Winter Storm Warning Issued In West Virginia

Forecasters said a storm that could drop a significant amount of snow is poised to target West Virginia.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for most of the state from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.

The weather service said snow accumulation could total 3 to 8 inches, depending on the location. This will be the first significant accumulation this winter for some regions.

The warning area has been extended to some border counties in Kentucky and Virginia.
