Four members of Every Time I Die, a Buffalo, New York metalcore band formed in 1998, announced that they were leaving the group.

According to the statement, which was also shared on social media by Mitchie, Williams and Hollyoak, there has been "no direct communication" with fifth member Keith Buckley, as "it is either impossible for direct communication with him or we has been cut off from any and all communication by him."
The four said: "While we expected to agree on a legal statement outlining the truth, we were given some of the information we planned to release today that was not mutually agreed upon, including inaccuracies and One controls a narrative to benefit one.
The statement continued, "While we are extremely disappointed with how this played out in front of you online, the memories we have because of your support and all of you will always be cherished."
Following the latest announcement, the band's vocalist Keith Buckley tweeted a letter dated December 20, 2021, sent to him by law firm Savur Law. The letter stated that the firm was retained by the rest of the band for "legal representation regarding the separation agreement" between Buckley and four others.
The letter requested him to approach Savur Law by 27 December to discuss the "business terms of amicable separation between the parties".
The letter asked Buckley to "immediately cease and desist from making any statement ... which defames, insults or in any way defames the professional name, reputation, image, reputation, practices or conduct of the band or representative members." criticizes". as well as "immediately cease and desist all use of the band name, logo, or other intellectual property until a formally signed separation agreement is reached between the parties."

The latest statement from the four follows an announcement by Buckley in early December 2021, who said he was "taking a hiatus" from the band to prepare for the annual 'Tid the Season Christmas Festival'.
"Taking care of my own mental health is a priority over everything in my life," Buckley tweeted.
According to NME and Revolver, at the time the band shared a statement that said: "Mental health is a real issue and when left untreated affects a lot of people. And we wish him a speedy recovery," he said, adding that he would play the last three shows of that tour without any singers.
Following that group's statement, Buckley responded to a number of tweets from his personal Twitter account, including one that read: "Now that I've seen the 'official statement', it appears that ETID is going to tour without their vocalist. Concluding, I think I'm ready to tell you all a little bit about why my mental health has had to be a priority on ETID. And trust I have the receipts."
