Grizzlies to host jersey swap after Ja’s moment with young Dubs fan

He is trying to build his momentum and gain fans following Jaa Morant's viral conversation with some of the younger members of Dubs Nation during Tuesday night's game of the Memphis Grizzlies. Tea

In the final minutes of the Warriors' 116–108 loss to Memphis, Morant cruised for a bucket to defend Golden State and was fouled by Andrew Wiggins. Before attempting the free throw, an excited Morant said a few words to some young Warriors fans who were supporting dabs in enemy territory on FedExForum. Was looking for high-fives from a rising superstar.

"He was disrespectful with that jersey," Morant told reporters after the game. "We Memphis. It seemed like he wanted to be happy, but he had that jersey. I apologize to him, but at that moment, brother, take that jersey off and then pat me. Somebody will find his info. I I'll send it myself."

Well, now he has his chance.

On Wednesday, the Grizzlies announced a promotion where kids 12 and under can swap out any old opposing player NBA jerseys for new Morant or Jaren Jackson Jr. threads. The plan is for all opposing player jerseys to be exchanged at the event to be donated to charity.

It's a creative promotion by the Grizzlies, who are currently the hottest team in the NBA with 10 straight wins. Two of Golden State's 10 losses this season have come against Memphis. The Warriors get one last chance to defeat Morant and the Grizzlies in Memphis on March 28.

Hopefully, those same young fans will be back in that game in dubs gear.
