What family affair is siblings day and how is celebrated?

They grew up in the same house with us and they supported us and watched us go through different phases of life and that is why we celebrate National Brothers and Sisters Day.

What is National Siblings Day?

On April 10th, we celebrate our brothers and sisters and try to show how much we truly love them, even as we fight about who takes a bath first this morning.

The idea was started by Claudia Evert to honor her brother and sister who died at a young age.

April 10 was chosen because it was the birthday of his late sister, Lisette.

It takes its inspiration from Mother's Day and Father's Day.

Siblings Day Foundation was incorporated in 1997 and became a charity in 1999.

According to the foundation it means "honoring, celebrating and remembering all brothers and sisters, and the bond that is a special gift forever".

However, this day has not been officially recognized.

How is National Siblings Day celebrated?

There is no traditional way to celebrate National Siblings Day.

If you and your siblings enjoy a day out or use Sundays to watch football or maybe stay inside and do a Netflix marathon, you're free to do it.

You decide how to show your siblings that you love them.

You can always buy them a gratitude card or maybe ask them to come together and make something for each other.

There is no better gift than one that comes from the heart and has a special meaning for him.

Is Siblings Day different from Brother and Sister Day?

It is very similar to Siblings Day.

Brother-Sister Day is celebrated every year on May 2 to honor the brother-sister relationship.

The thought of the day came when a woman realized after the death of her brother that he had never told her how much he meant to her.

But despite its growing popularity, it is still not celebrated on the same scale as Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Brother and Sister Day is an event to mark and honor the lifelong bond between brothers and sisters.

It follows the spirit of Mother's Day and Father's Day and aims to celebrate family values.
