When Steph Curry turns 34 on Monday, Drummond is looking forward to crashing a birthday party at the Green Chase Center.
Greene announced that he is targeting a Washington Wizards home game next week as a return date, as he has been out for two months with a lower back disc problem. Warriors basketball operations consultant Zaza Pachulia joined 95.7 The Game for her bi-weekly appearance on "The Morning Roast" on Tuesday to discuss the potential return of Drummond, the recent rise of Moses Moody and more. As Pachulia noted, Green and the Warriors await official approval from director of sports medicine and performance Rick Celebrini. But Pachulia still likes the idea of Green returning on Monday.
"Those guys have a really good relationship," Pachulia said of Curry and Green. "It was so creative, I thought, to come up with a birthday present. It's free, it doesn't cost any money."
Like the rest of Dub Nation, Pachulia can't wait to see the Warriors in full force.
"It's too valuable for them to just be around," Pachulia said. "Can you imagine what he's on the court - his leadership, his defensive intensity. He does everything possible to get our men the open shot and orchestrate the team aggressively. It's so much needed right now. Can't wait personally, and I know the feeling of the locker room, coaching staff that we need him as soon as possible. Obviously, a healthy Drummond. I can't wait to see the team finally get together - Steph, Kel and Drummond are back and playing together after two and a half years, almost three years. This is going to be an exciting moment for Dub Nation."
