There are few things quite as relaxing as settling into the quiet soundlessness of a high-speed train car, but none of the silences at the heart of Sony's bullet train killer Atomic Blondes director David Leach is a luxury. Based on Kotaro Isaka's novel Maria Beetle, Bullet Train follows five hired killers who inadvertently board the same high-speed train where they were sent to do different jobs. In the novel, the respective jobs of the killers are not long before the killers are exposed to each other, and from the trailer it looks like the story of the film will follow a similar arc.
As Ladybug (Brad Pitt) lays her hands on the briefcase, she is dispatched by Maria Beetle (Sandra Bullock) to retrieve other killers such as Lemon (Brian Tyree Henry), Tangerine (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and Whoever is playing Bad Bunny make it clear that they don't mind killing him to take it for themselves.
Bullet Train also stars Joy King, Andrew Koji, Zazie Beetz, Karen Fukuhara, Masi Oka, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman and Hiroyuki Sanada. The film is knocking in theaters on July 15.
