Weekend weather planner: Tracking Sunday snow in Cincinnati

Cold temperatures have risen for the Bengaluru game and will remain around Saturday.

Temperatures will be in the mid-20s as the tailgate begins, and cool breezes will blow into the teens. By noon, the temperature reaches close to 30 degrees with wind gusts closer to 20 degrees. The kickoff temperature would be around 31 degrees to break a 31-year streak without a playoff win.

After that, we're looking at a chance for the snow to close later this week. The system will dive south through Iowa on Friday, then attach to the Gulf with a lot of moisture and move toward the East Coast.

In the next few days, it has reached more than 30 states.

Latest Track Trends At least some of that snowfall comes in our area on Sunday. Locations southeast of the Interstate 71 corridor will have the best chances of some good snowfall.

Mason and Adams counties are currently on a winter storm warning. These are the areas where three to five inches of snow can be seen.

There is a winter weather advisory for Highland, Brown, Bracken and Robertson counties. Two to three inches of snow can be seen in these areas.

There is a chance of 1 to 2 inches of snow in the Cincinnati metro area. About an inch or less of dust is expected in areas west of Cincinnati, including Hamilton, Oxford and Batesville.

Roads are likely to be impacted on Sunday evening, especially further east and southeast. Sometimes heavy bands of ice are possible, so be aware of the rapidly changing conditions of travel. Some effects persist till Monday morning.
