BCCI chairman and former India captain Sourav Ganguly has conducted a positive test for Kovid-19. He has been admitted as a precaution in a city hospital, his brother confirmed on Tuesday.
According to Ganguly’s elder brother, the captain of former India and the current BCCI president are stable.
“Sourav is stable. He gave birth to angioplasty at the beginning of this year. So he has been admitted to Woodlands as a precision measure,”
Ganguly has been dual vaccination but as a BCCI president is traveling on a large scale as part of his job. He was admitted to a hospital at the beginning of this year and after some cardiac issues, he was exposed to emergency angioplasty.
Dr. Rupali Basu, MD and CEO of Woodlands Hospital said in a statement, “They got monoclonal antibody cocktail therapy at the same night and is currently hemodia,” MD and CEO of Woodlands Hospital Dr. Rupali Basu said in a statement.
Basu said, “A medical board, including Dr. Devi Shetty and Dr. Aftab Khan, Dr. Saroj Mondal, Dr. Saptak Basu and Dr. Soutic Panda, is close to their health status.”
Snehasish Ganguly had a positive test for Kovid at the beginning of this year.
